Little Flower Province
To establish an Ashram for CST Fathers and a Minor Seminary for training future missionaries, the first land at Chargawan, Gorakhpur, was purchased in 1983 and registered under the Diocese of Varanasi. After the Diocese of Gorakhpur was established in 1984, the property came under its jurisdiction. The foundation stone of Jyoti Bhavan was blessed by Bishop Dominic Kokkat CST and laid by Fr. Xavier Olickal CST on 16 February 1987. The Minor Seminary began functioning on 29 August 1988. Over the years, the seminary temporarily shifted to Basil Bhavan and Vettikkattiri before relocating permanently to the newly built Jyoti Gurukul at Waltergunj, inaugurated on 11 September 2005. The Provincial House at Chargawan became the administrative centre of the Little Flower Province, housing its registered societies and provincial offices. The foundation stone for Little Flower Primary School was laid on 14 February 1991. The school steadily expanded, receiving CISCE affiliation for its High School in 2004 and Higher Secondary section in 2006. Today, it serves 3,878 students with 156 staff members on an expanded campus.
